Hip Stretches for Pain

Hip replacement surgery is one of the foremost orthopedic surgeries in the U.S.  This is in large part due to sedentary lifestyles and activities that place too much stress on hip joints that have not been properly stretched, strengthened or opened.

One of the problems with spending excessive time sitting in front of a computer (which is now the case with a majority of U.S. workers) is that the body becomes tight – especially in the hips – and the desire for exercise begins to diminish.  Lower back pain is often linked to tight hip flexor muscles.  These stretches will help open the hip flexors and condition your body to begin exercising without pain and injury.
